Report: Lacey Evans Was Scheduled To Win WWE Raw Women's Championship

The plan was Evans Vs. Charlotte at WrestleMania 37...

WWE reportedly had planned for Lacey Evans to win the Raw Women's Championship from Asuka at Elimination Chamber 2021.

The booked match between Asuka and Evans for the title was called off prior to the Elimination Chamber show in February, with Evans revealing she was legitimately pregnant.

At the time Evans was involved in a developing angle with Ric Flair and daughter Charlotte, and Fightful is reporting that the plan had been for the feud between The Sassy Southern Belle and The Queen to go all the way to WrestleMania 37.

The eventual match between the two would have been for the Raw Women's Championship, with Evans winning the title from Asuka at Elimination Chamber. This, of course, would have seen Evans then walk into 'Mania as the defending champion against Charlotte.

The entire angle has since been scrapped, with Evans written off television, but it seems Charlotte is still set for the title picture on 'The Grandest Stage Of Them All', having declared her desire to face Asuka for the Championship at WrestleMania 37 on this week's Raw.
