Report: Legado Del Fantasma Moving To WWE SmackDown

A faction from WWE NXT are headed to the main roster.

While it has been expected for several weeks, PWInsider and Fightful Select have reported that Legado Del Fantasma are set to debut on Friday Night SmackDown. The stable of Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Elektra Lopez, and Cruz Del Toro could appear on the blue brand as soon as tomorrow's show, which will be the season premiere. 

Pitches were recently put together for the group and Fightful Select noted they hadn't heard about any name changes as part of Legado's move to the main roster. 

Legado Del Fantasma had previously been in NXT but Santos Escobar was banished from the developmental brand in August following a loss to Tony D'Angelo. He did appear on the show one more time, though, to pick up Wilde, Del Toro, and Lopez in his car, telling them family stays together. 

The faction enjoyed success on NXT, with Santos Escobar holding the Cruiserweight Championship for 321 days from May 2020 until April 2021. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro were also regularly featured in the NXT Tag Team Title scene.
