Linda McMahon likely to be part of Donald Trump's administration
Nov 12, 2024
Linda McMahon looks set to return to government in Donald Trump's second administration.
FOX's Charles Gasparino has reported there is currently a "hunger games feel" as people jockey for cabinet posts in Trump's government ahead of the 47th president's inauguration on January 20, 2025. Gasparino noted one name likely to return to government is Linda McMahon as United States Secretary of Commerce. Reuters has also reported that McMahon is considered the frontrunner for the post.
Linda McMahon has long been tied to Donald Trump and she was a major donor to his campaign in 2024. McMahon served as the Small Business Administrator from 2017 until 2019 during Trump's first term in office.
McMahon is currently the chair of America First Action, a pro-Trump super PAC, and she is on the Board of Directors of Trump's social media platform, Truth Social. McMahon is also the co-chair of Trump's transition team with Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick.
Linda McMahon could still have legal issues if she is appointed Secretary of Commerce. McMahon along with WWE, Vince McMahon, and others, were sued in October as part of a new lawsuit related to the ring boy scandal.
