Report: Major The Elite Vs. Death Triangle Match Almost Scrapped Due To Visa Issue

Visa issues causes stress for The Young Bucks

A visa issue almost forced All Elite Wrestling to postpone one of their major matches on the January 11 edition of Dynamite.

Death Triangle and The Elite faced off in match seven of their Best of Seven series for the AEW World Trios Championships on Dynamite and The Young Bucks noted on Being The Elite following the match that they had gone through a lot of stress in the last week which they couldn't talk about.

Initial speculation on social media suggested the stress was related to CM Punk and the infamous backstage fight that took place between Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite following All Out in September 2022. Instead, though, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported The Young Bucks were stressed over a visa issue that almost stopped the final Death Triangle vs. The Elite match from happening.

"Before it erupts into craziness, the stress last week prior to the final Death Triangle vs. Elite match was a visa issue that almost prevented the match from happening," Alvarez tweeted.

The match would ultimately take place on January 11, with The Elite emerging victorious in the Ladder Match to win the Best of Seven series 4-3 and regain the AEW World Trios Championships.
