Report: Malakai Black Frustrated AEW Talents, Never Developed A Rapport With Tony Khan
Malakai Black received criticism from AEW colleagues

Malakai Black is on his way out of All Elite Wrestling and the move may be a popular one with the promotion's locker room.
PWTorch has reported that Black received criticism from his colleagues in AEW who were frustrated by the perception that he was resistant to "doing business." This included a reluctance to do jobs in the promotion and his frequent claims of dealing with injuries.
The relationship between Tony Khan and Malakai Black also seemingly wasn't strong, with PWTorch adding that the AEW CEO and Black never developed a rapport.
Black's contract with All Elite Wrestling has either already expired or is expiring in the near future. He is expected to return to WWE, with higher-ups reportedly seeing Malakai as a possible top singles act.
PWTorch noted that Black had told some in All Elite Wrestling over the past couple of years that he was burned out and just wanted time away, even mentioning retirement as a possibility. If Black was just saying that to try and secure a release from AEW is unknown, however.
Following a push upon joining the promotion in 2021 that saw him featured heavily in a programme with Cody Rhodes, Malakai Black was primarily booked as a tag team or trios wrestler as part of the House of Black with Brody King and Buddy Matthews. He is a one-time AEW World Trios Champion.
