Report: Mandy Rose Surprised By WWE Release

Mandy Rose was caught off guard by her WWE release

Mandy Rose reportedly didn't see her WWE release coming.

The former Toxic Attraction leader was released by WWE on Wednesday, December 14, only one day after she dropped the NXT Women's Championship to Roxanne Perez in what was said to be an "abrupt" booking decision. Rose's release reportedly came about because of what WWE considered explicit content on her FanTime page that was outside the parameters of her contract.

Speaking about the release on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reported that Rose was "very much caught off guard" by her firing.

"Mandy was fired over photos. I think technically not Onlyfans. I haven't seen them but they apparently have been getting more risqué and WWE wasn't cool with that even though they knew about the site prior. She was very much caught off guard by the firing," Alvarez said.

Fightful Select also noted that Rose indicated to others in recent months that her FanTime content could get her in trouble with WWE higher-ups. It was noted this week, though, that a former WWE talent beat their best financial year in WWE in 2022 with their own exclusive content page.

Rose has since reacted to her release, saying the following to FanTime subscribers: "Hey guys, thank you for all the messages. I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don't worry the page is still up! ;)."
