Report: Marvel Considered WWE Star For Major Role In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Damian Priest could have been a king in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

A WWE talent could have crossed over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Fightful Select, Damian Priest was asked to read for the role of Namor, the main antagonist in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, or for a role as one of the other members of Talokan. It is unknown if Priest actually read for the role, but Marvel Studios did make an inquiry.

Priest, of course, was not a part of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

In the second Black Panther movie, Namor is the King of Talokan, an ancient underwater civilisation.

WWE talents have found success in Hollywood, notably The Rock since he transitioned to acting in the early 2000s. The likes of John Cena and Batista have since followed The Brahma Bull to the big screen, having major roles in movies like Spectre, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad, and Bladerunner 2049.

Other talents have also had shorter careers in Hollywood like Roddy Piper as the protagonist in They Live and The Great Khali, who briefly appeared in Get Smart.
