BodySlam's Cassidy Haynes recently reported that All Elite Wrestling had renewed their interest in Major League Wrestling's Mance Warner. The young promotion first expressed interest in signing The Southern Stomper back in January and Warner was backstage at a Dynamite taping as AEW wanted to take "a look to maybe bring him in."

Haynes has since provided an update on BodySlam.net. Warner reportedly asked for his release from MLW, but the company denied his request. Lawyers have since become involved to try and resolve the dispute.

After being reached for comment, MLW told Haynes, "All we're saying is he [Mance Warner] remains under a deal."

Warner's MLW contract was the main stumbling block behind him working for AEW. Other MLW wrestlers have appeared on Dynamite and Dark because the language in their contract doesn't prevent them from doing so. Warner himself was unsure if his deal with MLW had the same language, however.
