Report: More Insight Into What The Next Few Months Will Look Like For AEW
Double Or Nothing takes place on May 25...
May 10, 2019
All Elite Wrestling makes its pay-per-view debut on May 25 with Double Or Nothing.
After that, the future is more than a little uncertain as the new company have only officially announced two more events: Fyter Fest will take place on June 29 in Daytona Beach, and Fight For The Fallen - the event that will see AEW donate a portion of its gate to the victims of the 2018 Jacksonville Landing shooting as well as other victims of gun violence - happens on July 13 in Jacksonville.
However, we now may know a little bit more about AEW's first few months as a performing brand thanks to the latest
Wrestling Observer Newsletter, where it's claimed that house shows will be the order of the day outside of the aforementioned events: "The idea is for Double or Nothing to be the first blow-out show, and then do a few house shows, with Jacksonville and Daytona Beach being announced. It is not clear whether those shows will be streamed or not. The second major show will be the Chicago Sears Center show over Labor Day weekend. If the television deals are finalized, the belief is TV would start in the fall based on things said by Jim Ross and Chris Jericho."
A report released yesterday claimed
Turner will begin airing a weekly AEW wrestling show this fall on TNT, while it was also recently announced that
fans in the UK will be able to catch Double Or Nothing on ITV Box Office.
