Report: More Scrapped Plans From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 39 Revealed

More on WWE Raw after WrestleMania 39 scrapped plans

WWE's plans for the Raw after WrestleMania 39 were thrown away just minutes before the show went on the air on Monday, April 3 after Vince McMahon re-established himself at the top of WWE creative, running the taping and making changes even after the show began.

Further details on those changes have been revealed by Fightful Select and one change that was quickly made saw Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Street Profits become a non-title match. The match was initially internally listed as an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match.

Other last-minute changes caused a mini-tournament to crown the number-one contender for the Raw Women's Title to be scrapped. Matches booked for Raw included Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai vs. Piper Niven and Candice LeRae vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY but those plans were shelved for Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY & Dakota Kai in a match to earn a WWE Women's Tag Team Title shot. Bayley was scheduled to be at ringside for Damage CTRL's match/matches but she was pulled from Raw at the last minute.

Another late change saw Omos vs. Elias be added to Raw. Omos was actually in catering and wasn't planning on wrestling until there was a mad scramble to make sure he had gear to wrestle in. Other talents, meanwhile, were scrambling to do last-minute shoots.

Cody Rhodes also saw one of his plans change at some point on Monday that would have seen him talk on the phone on Raw. It is unknown if that was a Vince McMahon change, however. The decision to have Brock Lesnar 'team' with Cody Rhodes on Raw was put in place by Monday morning.

A video of Seth Rollins angrily speaking to the WWE production team during a commercial break while he was in the ring has also circulated online which prompted speculation to suggest that his segment was changed while he was in the ring. According to Fightful, though, "sources familiar with the situation claim it was originally scripted that way." All Rollins did on Raw was stand in the ring and be serenaded by the fans before heading backstage.
