Report: Most Possible NXT TakeOver Matches Have Been Done

WWE produced pretty much all they could...

The coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay, scheduled to be a part of WrestleMania 36 weekend.

While WWE was able to produce several of the planned matches at the unattended Performance Center in Orlando (to air on the weekly USA Network show), Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that virtually all other planned matches, except for Adam Cole vs. Velveteen Dream, are unable to take place due to various travel restrictions.

The planned Tag Team title match was to have either pitted champions Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne against James Drake and Zack Gibson, or would have been a three-way bout that included Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. However, Dunne, Drake, and Gibson are unable to get into the United States for the time being.

Meltzer also notes that it's likely wise for O'Reilly, a diabetic, to remain inactive, due to the greater risk that the coronavirus can have on people with diabetes.

Additionally, a match between WALTER and Finn Balor is out, due to WALTER facing the same travel issues.
