WWE's MVP has reportedly headed to Birmingham, Alabama, to seek medical assistance after sustaining a knee injury on Monday Night Raw.

The found of The Hurt Business sustained the injury during a six-man tag-team match, which pitted himself, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander against Riddle and the Lucha House Party, with MVP posting a photo of a pair of crutches to his social media after the show in a seeming confirmation of his setback.

PWInsider is reporting that the 47-year-old travelled to Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday morning in order to get his knee assessed. The city is the home of Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center, where a host of WWE talent has previously had surgery.

It is unclear at this time how long MVP could potentially be out of action, with the former United States champion enjoying a renaissance in his career since his surprise inclusion in the 2020 Royal Rumble last January.

Since then, MVP has teamed up with Bobby Lashley, challenged for the United States championship against Apollo Crews, before helping Lashley to claim the belt. In welcoming Benjamin and Alexander to his stable, The Hurt Business was formed, with the group one of the stand-out acts during Monday Night Raw since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
