Report: Naomi Still In Negotiations With WWE Over Return

Naomi is still in negotiations to return to WWE, according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer noted that there are certain deal points with negotiations, related to what is believed to be a new contract (since her original deal was coming due). These deal points have not yet been finalised. 

He added that Naomi would still be bound by the old contract as far as negotiating to go somewhere else, since WWE can freeze it for the time she missed. She can't become a free agent without coming back first and working out the remaining time on her old contract. 

Meltzer added that there are continuing discussions between Naomi and WWE and that they are trying to work the various points out. 

Naomi (alongside Sasha Banks) famously walked out of the company at the May 17 Raw taping. Neither have been back since, with WWE announcing in the aftermath that the pair were indefinitely suspended. WWE also stripped them of the Women's Tag Team Titles. 

Rumours in the summer suggested Banks and Naomi had agreed to return after talks with the new WWE regime but that doesn't appear to be the case.
