Report: Next WWE NXT Premium Live Event Planned For August

A major NXT show is planned for the summer

Further details on WWE NXT's plans for the summer have been revealed.

According to PWInsider, the next NXT premium live event after Battleground is planned for Saturday, August 12. A location has not been locked in for the next major NXT event, nor has the name of the show been revealed.

WWE NXT did not hold a premium live event in August last year, instead running the Worlds Collide event in early September 2022. NXT previously held TakeOver shows in August, with the last one taking place with NXT TakeOver 36 in August 2021.

NXT has continued to hold major events, just without the 'TakeOver' billing since the NXT 2.0 rebrand in September 2021. The premium live events initially only took place at the WWE Performance Center but NXT has started touring again in 2023. February's Vengeance Day took place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina before Stand & Deliver was held in Los Angeles, California over WrestleMania 39 weekend.

NXT Battleground will be held in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 28 and go head-to-head with AEW Double or Nothing.
