Report: Nick Aldis In Talks With WWE

WWE are reportedly in talks with Nick Aldis

After it was reported a few days back that Nick Aldis was potentially being eyed up by WWE, there could be even more to this story.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer expanded on this situation and reported that WWE were actually in talks with free agent Aldis, though there was interest from numerous parties when it came to acquiring his services.

“Aldis had been in talks with WWE before coming to Impact. WWE, which while talks about a hiring freeze aren’t true, has not been hiring many new people… Aldis is back in talks, and Mike Johnson reported that he will be getting a trial as a producer as early as next month. Aldis has no new deal in place and is said to be interested in both AEW and WWE. Aldis did clean jobs on the way out to Alex Shelley in the title match and Eric Young on TV. Aldis is a free agent right now and had agreed to work here through this week.”

As noted, Aldis recently unsuccessfully challenged Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship at the recent IMPACT Slammiversary 2023 PPV.
