Report: People In WWE NXT Pushing To Draw Higher Ratings Than AEW Dynamite
WWE want NXT to compete with Dynamite again
When AEW began back in 2019, it sparked the beginning of what became known as the “Wednesday Night Wars” between AEW and NXT. Whilst NXT did pick up a few ratings victories here and there, the birth of ‘NXT 2.0’ led to a decline which resulted in NXT being moved over to Tuesday nights instead.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it seems that WWE is still focusing on boosting ratings for NXT to have it surpass AEW Dynamite, which is why fans have witnessed a lot of recent crossover between the main roster and NXT.
“The two points most talked about by different people were that this is a contract year so these gains are coming at a great time for the renewal price, and those in NXT who are definitely pushing for the idea of doing numbers that beat Dynamite.”
Recently the likes of The Judgment Day, Baron Corbin, and others have been appearing on NXT.
