Report: Nick Jackson Worked AEW Best-Of-Seven Series Injured

Nick Jackson reportedly injured during Best-of-Seven series in AEW

The January 11 edition of AEW Dynamite saw The Elite regain the AEW World Trios Championships after bringing their epic Best-of-Seven series with Death Triangle to a close, with a series deciding win in a brutal Escalera de la Muerte ladder match.

The win saw The Elite win the series 4-3, regaining the titles they lost hours after winning them due to their suspension after the infamous All Out post-show brawl in September 2022. However, the series came at a physical cost, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Young Bucks’ Nick Jackson worked the series hurt.

Meltzer claims that Jackson had been dealing with a broken toe for the majority of the series, revealing that The Elite member had been hurting even when walking around, never mind wrestling seven highly intensive matches. Meltzer did reveal that Jackson’s injury is healing up to a point where he can now walk around without ‘that much discomfort’.

It has not been revealed when exactly Jackson suffered the injury, but it seems unlikely that he’ll miss any significant time - if any time at all - away from the ring.
