Report: No Heat Between Adam Copeland And Ricky Starks In AEW

Last week's promo battle didn't cause a rift between Adam Copeland and Ricky Starks

It was suggested earlier in the week that there was some backstage heat between Adam Copeland and Ricky Starks. Following a promo interaction on last week’s Collision where the pair seemed to throw some shoot insults at each other, many fans felt as though the pair looked genuinely riled up, leading to some issues behind the scenes.

A report from Fightful Select has debunked these rumours, stating that things are completely fine between Copeland and Starks.

“Those that we've spoken to said there didn't appear to be any heat backstage, and that generally speaking Adam Copeland does not get rattled by promos like that, but writes his own material and has since the WWE days. In the moment, it was said he was just trying to give back what was given to him. Ricky Starks also wasn't upset backstage about the promo, and we're told that the content in which Copeland said wasn't anything he hasn't heard before.”

It was noted that if the two are ever in the ring again, the expectation is that it will be much more of the same, though a source did say that the “vanilla midget” line used by Copeland probably wasn’t the best thing to have said.
