Report: No Heat On Bron Breakker Over Rick Steiner's Transphobic Comments

No heat on Bron Breakker for his father's comments

There is no heat on NXT star Bron Breakker due to transphobic comments made by his father Rick Steiner.

The WWE Hall of Famer was banned from WrestleCon after making offensive comments towards IMPACT Wrestling star Gisele Shaw (which were later corroborated by several witnesses). Per Fightful Select, Steiner himself confirmed the incident to multiple people.

The site noted that there was no heat from WWE towards Bron regarding his father's actions. Furthermore, there have been no character issues whatsoever when it comes to the former NXT Champion.

However, WWE sources that Fightful spoke to said that it eliminated them from using the Dog-Faced Gremlin for quite some time. Rick had made a couple of appearances for NXT, including a scene where he was kidnapped and locked in a cage by Joe Gacy and Harland (on the April 5, 2022 episode of the show).

Bron recently spoke about his father's comments, telling the Under the Ring podcast that, "I can't speak for my father, but that's not a reflection of me and who I am and what I'm about".

Breakker's last televised outing was a loss to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on June 20.
