Jon Moxley Vs. Tomohiro Ishii Set For AEW Dynamite

A major match has been made official for the June 28 edition of AEW Dynamite in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

All Elite Wrestling have announced that Jon Moxley will take on New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Tomohiro Ishii on Dynamite. The match was made official following Forbidden Door which saw Tomohiro Ishii, Hangman Page, The Young Bucks, and Eddie Kingston defeat Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Shota Umino, and Konosuke Takeshita. Ishii picked up the win for his team with a Sheer Drop Brainbuster to Wheeler Yuta. 

Moxley and Ishii have faced each other in singles action before in the 2019 G1 Climax. Moxley won that match. The two men have also recently clashed over the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships at NJPW Dominion, with Moxley, Castagnoli, and Shota Umino unsuccessfully challenging Ishii, Kazuchika Okada, and Hiroshi Tanahashi for the gold.
