The second Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday, June 25 in Toronto, Canada was a money-maker for All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The show was hotly anticipated and featured plenty of standout matches, including Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada, and CM Punk vs. Satoshi Kojima.

Tony Khan revealed following Forbidden Door that the pay-per-view generated more buys than last year's Forbidden Door and 2023's Double or Nothing. Forbidden Door 2022 had 127,000 buys, while Double or Nothing drew 140,000 buys. Forbidden Door also set a new live gate record for AEW of $1.2 million, with approximately 14,000 fans in attendance at Forbidden Door. The record will only last a couple of months until AEW holds All In at Wembley Stadium, with that show having already generated over $8 million.

In an update, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics estimated that between pay-per-view, ticket sales, and merchandise sales, Forbidden Door grossed approximately $7.4 million. After pay-per-view carriers take their cut, Forbidden Door is estimated to have brought in a net revenue of around $4.9 million for AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that revenue from the show is split between AEW and NJPW, although the percentage split is unknown. Both promotions look set to hold Forbidden Door for the foreseeable future, with reports noting NJPW now treat the event as a tradition.
