Report: No Imminent Plans For The Rock's WWE Return

When will 'The Great One' return to WWE?

There are reportedly no immediate plans for The Rock to make a return in the near future to WWE television.

The Rock has been heavily rumoured to be coming back to WWE programming for a big-money feud with cousin Roman Reigns, with speculation indicating that 'The Great One' and 'The Tribal Chief' will do battle at one of the two upcoming WrestleManias.

With WWE returning to touring and live crowds in the coming weeks, Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon has promised a host of surprises for the WWE audience as the promotion builds up towards SummerSlam in August.

However, Sports Illustrated are reporting that The Rock will not be one of those major returns in the very near future.

The report does note, however, that Survivor Series this year will mark the 25th anniversary of The Rock making his WWE debut, with other reports over the past few weeks suggesting that WWE are hopeful of The Rock appearing in some capacity - maybe even wrestling - at the November pay-per-view.
