Title Matches Set For AEW Fyter Fest

2 titles on the line

Two championship matches have been set for both nights of Fyter Fest.

The two-week event is currently set for July 14 and July 21 and Taz announced during last night's Dynamite that night one of Fyter Fest will feature an FTW Title match between Brian Cage and a medically cleared Ricky Starks.

Tension has been building between Brian Cage and the rest of Team Taz since Revolution and the animosity has bubbled over in recent weeks. As a result, Taz booked the match because teammates need to fight it out sometimes.

Britt Baker's first AEW Women's World Championship defence was also booked for night two of Fyter Fest. The Role Model will defend the gold against Nyla Rose.

The AEW Women's World Champion and Rose have been feuding ever since Baker won the title at Double Or Nothing. Baker held a celebration on the following week's Dynamite, which was ruined by Rose, and the rivalry only became more personal in the ensuing weeks.

The match was made official by AEW last night following Britt Baker and Rebel vs. Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero on Dynamite. Baker won the match for her team with a Lockjaw on Guerrero, but Nyla Rose ended the night standing tall after she Powerbombed the champion through a table.
