Report: No NXT Championship Matches Planned for WWE WrestleMania 37

There will reportedly be no black-and-gold brand at Raymond James Stadium

WWE are reportedly not currently planning on having any of the NXT Championships defended on either night of WrestleMania 37.

WrestleMania 36 saw Rhea Ripley become the first superstar to defend an NXT title on 'The Grandest Stage Of Them All', putting her NXT Women's Championship on the line against Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair.

With WrestleMania once again a two-night event this year - across April 10-11 - and with no NXT TakeOver event confirmed for WrestleMania week by WWE either, there had been a growing belief that the black-and-gold brand would be represented at the promotion's flagship event.

However, according to WrestleTalk, there are currently no plans to have any NXT title matches occur at WrestleMania this year.

The report goes on to say that there had been some discussions around potentially seeing the NXT Championship defended at WrestleMania 37, but those plans were ultimately shelved.

There are still five weeks until WrestleMania 37 and plans could always change, but it appears very unlikely that WWE's third brand will be present at Raymond James Stadium.
