Report: No STARDOM Talent Scheduled For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

No plans for STARDOM involvement at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling are preparing to hold the second edition of their joint Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday, June 25 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada but the popular STARDOM promotion seemingly won't have a presence on the show.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, no one from STARDOM is scheduled to be on the show as of Sunday and the belief is nobody will be added to the event with Forbidden Door only a couple of weeks away. There have also reportedly been no talks between STARDOM and AEW that had reached management, Meltzer noted.

There was initially confusion over the weekend about STARDOM talents needing visas to wrestle at Forbidden Door, something even STARDOM reportedly believed was the case. Wrestlers, however, do not need to secure a visa to wrestle in Canada which is part of the reason so many American indy talents wrestle in Canada. The situation is different in the United States and only four or five STARDOM wrestlers have US work visas and it is a time-consuming process to secure one.

Already announced for Forbidden Door is Kazuchika Okada vs. Bryan Danielson in a dream match, and a rematch between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.
