Billy Gunn Reveals Nixed Plans For X-Pac To Appear In AEW

AEW couldn't bring X-Pac in

All Elite Wrestling have tried and failed to bring in X-Pac on a couple of occasions, Billy Gunn has revealed.

After being asked if he could team with Sean Waltman in AEW on SportsKeeda's WrestleBinge, Gunn stated:

"I don't know if that's the thing right now, because I think you'd be hard-pressed to get Tony to get me away from The Acclaimed right now. No, I mean, it would be great. I think we've tried to get Sean in here a couple of times. Things just didn't work out. I think if the time's right, I think he would be a great asset because he still has huge popularity, everybody knows him, and he's such a good guy that he would not only help the younger talent as well as be a good representative for our company. He'd be amazing if we could get him in here."

What AEW's plans were for X-Pac is unknown.

The WWE Hall of Famer made a brief return to the squared circle in 2022, first teaming with Joey Janela to defeat Matt Cardona and Brian Myers in Game Changer Wrestling. Waltman suffered a torn biceps in that match but he would still wrestle Janela one month later at Spring Break 6 after the Bad Boy turned on him following their tag team win.

Waltman hasn't wrestled since and he noted in September 2022 that he would only return for something big
