Report: 'Nothing Set In Stone' For Drew McIntyre's WWE Return

More uncertainty surrounding Drew's WWE future

WWE star Drew McIntyre has been absent since WrestleMania 39, as he takes time off to heal up from various injuries.

In the background, the former WWE Champion's contract is due to expire in early 2024 (though WWE can add on injury time) and the two sides are said to be far apart on creative and money when it comes to negotiating a new deal.

It was previously reported that WWE wanted Drew back in the fold by Money in the Bank on July 1, though McIntyre was hesitant to come back until his future booking plans had been properly mapped out.

While it was believed talks since then have gone well, a new report from PWInsider Elite claims that nothing is 'set in stone' when it comes to Drew's direction on the Raw brand.

It added that it was not a lock that McIntyre would resurface at this weekend's premium live event and that there wasn't any sort of internal buzz about him being in London for the show.
