WWE held their 2021 Draft over the past week and several NXT talents will make their way to the main roster from October 22, when draft moves take effect.

Hit Row, Xia Li, Ridge Holland, Aliyah were all drafted to Friday Night SmackDown while The Way's Austin Theory was picked up by Monday Night Raw.

Hit Row were ultimately the biggest move of the draft for NXT and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE decided to call up the faction days earlier. No one in NXT was told, though, and Meltzer noted no one on the developmental brand was really told anything about the draft.

This comes at a time of great change for NXT. The brand was recently revamped as NXT 2.0 with a new set and lighting and several developmental talents have made their TV debuts in recent weeks. Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard have also taken a greater interest in the Tuesday night show and they are reportedly making the big decisions on the former black and gold brand.
