Report: NXT Talent Currently Exempt From WWE's Twitch Ban

They can continue streaming for the time being...

Multiple prominent WWE streamers suspended their Twitch channels last week including AJ Styles, Aleister Black & Zelina Vega, Cesaro and Mia Yim. This comes after a company email in early October which stated WWE would be taking over Superstars' Twitch accounts.

WWE Superstars still have a presence on Twitch, though, as NXT talent like Adam Cole have continued streaming on the platform.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful's List & Ya Boy this is because NXT talent are currently exempt from WWE's Twitch policy. Why NXT talent are allowed to continue streaming while main roster Superstars cannot is currently unknown.

Sapp said: "Main roster. Main roster people have to take it in. NXT is exempt for now. I don't know why that is."

A report from PWinsider's Mike Johnson previously noted main roster Superstars tried and failed to convince Vince McMahon to change his mind about the Twitch ban. Johnson also noted WWE took control of talent's channels because the company wants to relaunch its own presence on Twitch before the end of the year and wanted to remove anything which could run opposite its own strategy.
