Report: Planned Main Event For WWE Clash Of Champions 2019 Revealed

Universal title will be on the line, apparently...

The main event for next month's WWE Clash Of Champions pay-per-view has reportedly been revealed, with the seeds for the potential matchup planted on last night's Raw.

It has been noted on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the current plans for the COC main event is Braun Strowman vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal title.

This week's Raw ended with a match between United States Champion AJ Styles and Rollins to see who the best champion on Monday nights actually is.

The Beast Slayer would end up winning the match via DQ, before Gallows, Anderson, and The Phenomenal One attacked him.

Ricochet came to Rollins' aid but was bettered as well, before Braun Strowman appeared for the first time on Raw since the Raw Reunion show. The Monster Among Men saw off The O.C. before handing a nervous-looking Seth his title.

While this appeared to hint at a Universal Championship match between Braun and Rollins, Styles actually challenged Strowman to a US title match on next week's Raw. The Greatest Royal Rumble winner accepted via Twitter earlier today, and the match was made official.
