Report: Possible Drew McIntyre WWE Return Date Revealed

Back before WrestleMania, possibly

Drew McIntyre hasn't appeared on WWE TV since January 1 but the date of The Scottish Warrior's return has possibly been revealed.

PWInsider noted on Wednesday that McIntyre was featured in an advertisement for the March 25 SmackDown taping from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, suggesting the two-time WWE Champion will be back before WrestleMania 38.

McIntyre had reportedly been dealing with nagging neck issues and he was written off WWE TV with a backstage attack from Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss at the Day 1 pay-per-view. It was noted that WWE hoped Irn Drew would be back in time for WrestleMania, though, with the show set to take place on April 2 and April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

McIntyre was also spotted at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania earlier this month, reportedly to undergo tests to find out the severity of his neck injury.

Prior to his injury, McIntyre had been ever-present on WWE TV in recent years as a top star on Monday Night Raw and then SmackDown, having moved to the blue brand in the 2021 draft.
