Report: Possible Spoiler On WWE Royal Rumble Returns

Potential WWE Royal Rumble spoiler below!

A certain self-proclaimed Death Match King looks to be on his way back to WWE and he may resurface at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Saturday, January 28.

According to PWInsider, the talk at last weekend's IMPACT Wrestling New Year's Revolution TV tapings was that Matt Cardona has finished up with the promotion. It is also believed that Cardona and wife Chelsea Green will make their returns to WWE at the Royal Rumble, with Cardona resurfacing in WWE as Zack Ryder. They are expected to be on the main roster if they do indeed show up at the Rumble.

Cardona will remain on IMPACT Wrestling TV beyond a possible Royal Rumble appearance as his Digital Media Title match with Joe Hendry has yet to air, although it will be on TV by February 24 when IMPACT Wrestling tape their No Surrender IMPACT Plus special.

Cardona previously performed in WWE as Zack Ryder from 2005 until he was released in April 2020. He is a former Intercontinental, WWE Tag Team, and United States Champion, although many feel Cardona did not reach his potential in the company through no fault of his own.

Chelsea Green left IMPACT in late 2022 and she has reportedly been re-signed with WWE for some time. She previously performed in WWE from 2018 until 2021 in an injury-plagued run.

Should Cardona show up at the Royal Rumble, his return would come only days after he filed trademarks for 'Zack Ryder' and 'Woo Woo Woo. You Know It.'
