Report: Potential Issue With WWE's Plans For Ronda Rousey

WWE might have a problem with Ronda Rousey's creative

After more than a month out of action, Ronda Rousey returned to WWE on this week's edition of Monday Night Raw as the UFC Hall of Famer and Shayna Baszler took out Raquel Rodriguez to set up a future match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Plans for Rousey and Baszler originally called for them to win the tag team titles at WrestleMania 39 but Rousey was dealing with a knee injury and broken arm at the time and WWE decided to book the former SmackDown Women's Champion in a Showcase Match at the Show of Shows instead.

The lack of a title change at Mania looks set to cause problems for WWE's long-term booking as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rousey winning the belts was only step one of a longer-term storyline for The Baddest Woman on the Planet. Rousey is planning to take time off at some point, which could force WWE to rush through the full storyline unless Rousey decides to extend her current stint on TV.

Liv Morgan's injury could also affect any plans for Rousey as she is one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Raquel Rodriguez and the issue might delay any title match. Morgan suffered an injury on last week's episode of SmackDown.
