Report: Potential Royal Rumble And WrestleMania Plans For John Cena

John Cena could be set for a match at Royal Rumble/WrestleMania

John Cena was originally only slated for a handful of WWE SmackDown appearances through September and October of this year, but it seems like he may be sticking around for a little longer, for instance with recent advertisements penciling him in for the November 4th Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia.

A further report from insider X account BWE has suggested that the 16-time world champion could even be in the picture come Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season. BWE has reported that a match between John Cena and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline has been discussed as a programme for either Royal Rumble 2024 or WrestleMania 40.

On the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown, this was teased with an interaction between Cena and Sikoa, who went face-to-face in the ring. During the Grayson Waller Effect segment, Sikoa would go on to attack Cena, prompting a save from AJ Styles. WWE would follow this up by posting a comparison of Cena eyeing up Sikoa and also of Cena going face-to-face with fellow Anoa’i family member Umaga several years back, perhaps also hinting at something further. Cena would team with Styles to face Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a dark match after SmackDown.
