Report: Randy Orton Yet To Be Factored Into WWE Creative Plans

Orton continues to convalesce following major back surgery

The uncertainty surrounding WWE star Randy Orton's future continues to mount, with a new report indicating that he has yet to be factored into the company's creative plans.

Fightful Select reported that while The Viper is still on the mend (after undergoing lower back fusion surgery last year), he isn't heading back to the ring just yet.

As of this week, Orton had not been factored into WWE's creative plans whatsoever, according to company sources.

The report added that the 43-year-old has not been cleared for in-ring training as of yet. Orton does plan on making a comeback, despite doctors advising against it due to the nature of his surgery. He has been informed that wrestling in the future is not a good idea.

Though he is not ready to take bumps, Orton has been doing some serious weight training in preparation and is apparently 'huge'. He will likely be brought to WWE's Performance Center when he is ready to resume bumping.

Regarding The Apex Predator possibly showing up at SummerSlam on Saturday, a WWE source told Fightful not to count on it and that he hadn't been factored into any creative plans for the show. If Orton's return is imminent, it is being kept very quiet internally.
