Report: Reason Drew McIntyre Has Yet To Return To WWE TV Revealed

Drew McIntyre appears to be ready to come back to WWE TV

Drew McIntyre has been out of action since WrestleMania 39 due to being banged up in the run-up to the Show of Shows. He wasn't expected to be off WWE TV for very long but the 37-year-old has yet to make his return.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McIntyre will come back to TV when he and WWE agree to creative plans for him and Irn Dru no longer appears to be dealing with an injury. He is considered an obvious challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship when he resurfaces on Monday Night Raw.

McIntyre's long-term future with WWE has been uncertain in recent months after it emerged his contract with the organisation expires in early 2024 and they are far apart on money. McIntyre was also unhappy with the company's plans for him and both parties have been frustrated with each other over the past couple of years due to "miscommunications."

McIntyre may end up sticking with WWE beyond early 2024 as the company have the option to add injury time to his deal should WWE decide to.
