WWE and All Elite Wrestling have stacked shows planned for this week. WWE have already presented the May 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, which was dominated by the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament and the company will repeat the formula on Friday Night SmackDown this week before the final at Night of Champions on May 27.

AEW, meanwhile, have announced two title matches, a No Holds Barred clash, and a Steel Cage match between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega for the May 10 edition of Dynamite.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE booked the World Heavyweight Title tournament for this week's Raw and SmackDown to try and combat a ratings hit from the NBA and NHL playoffs. The New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat match went against Raw for the first two hours of Monday before the Golden State Warriors vs. LA Lakers went head-to-head with the third hour of Raw.

AEW have booked a stacked show on Dynamite as the episode will go head-to-head with the next Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks game before the replay of Dynamite on the West Coast of the United States goes against the LA Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors.

NHL and NBA playoff matches will also take place on Friday against SmackDown.
