WWE and TNA currently have a working relationship which has seen some crossover between TNA and NXT television, but TNA may be interested in making a recently released WWE star one of their own.
According to a report from Sportskeeda's Dr. Chris Featherstone on Backstage Pass, TNA currently have very high interest in signing Elektra Lopez. Further to that, Lopez is currently in talks with the company about debuting once her 90-day no-compete clause expires.
The report also notes that Lopez was recently backstage at a TNA television taping and that, while there are other companies interested in signing her, Lopez is leaning towards TNA.
Lopez was one of the many WWE talents who were let go earlier this month as part of roster cuts that were believed to be related to upcoming NXT call-ups.
Real name Karissa Rivera, Lopez wrestled on the independent scene prior to signing with WWE in 2021. She initially competed on NXT and was left behind when Legado del Fantasma were brought to the main roster, before joining up with them again in January 2024.
She last wrestled on the December 6, 2024 edition of SmackDown, where she took on Tiffany Stratton and Naomi in a triple threat first-round match in the tournament to crown the inaugural WWE United States Women's Champion.
