A rematch between WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is reportedly being planned for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia with Crown Jewel 2021 in October.

Wrestle Votes have reported the plans, Tweeting: “As if it wasn’t obvious, source states WWE is planning on the Goldberg vs Lashley rematch to take place in Saudi Arabia in October.”

The news is of little shock, as many fans assumed a rematch was inevitable given how Goldberg vs. Lashley ended at the recent SummerSlam 2021 PPV, with Lashley inadvertently attacking Goldberg’s son Gage.

WWE recently released a video stating that Goldberg suffered from ligament damage and is due to undergo surgery, but this is likely to be a storyline injury rather than a legitimate medical concern. In the same video Goldberg said he’d be back, and said he’s not after a title anymore.

Goldberg has wrestled at several of WWE’s past Saudi Arabia shows, facing the likes of The Fiend Bray Wyatt, and The Undertaker.
