Report: Revolution 2022 Estimated To Be Second-Biggest PPV In AEW History

All Elite Wrestling held their first pay-per-view of 2022 on Sunday, March 6, as Revolution aired from Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

The show featured several major matches, including a Dog Collar Match between CM Punk and MJF, a Three-Way for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston, and an AEW World Title clash between champion Hangman Page and Adam Cole.

Fans seemingly wanted to see those matches as Revolution is estimated to have been AEW's second-biggest pay-per-view since the company's founding in January 2019.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Revolution had 110,000 streaming pay-per-view buys, which is buys from FITE and Bleacher Report. Purchases through traditional pay-per-view providers varied but the March 6 show was estimated to have done at least 146,000 total buys and the buyrate could end up being as high as between 165,000 and 170,000.

This would make Revolution 2022 the second-most-bought pay-per-view in company history, behind only All Out 2021 which drew 205,000 buys. The current second-biggest event is Full Gear which finished with 145,000 buys.
