Report: Rey Fenix Only Suffered Dislocation, No Fracture

The Lucha Brother appears to have dodged a bullet

AEW star Rey Fenix sustained an arm injury during last night's Dynamite, after being chokeslammed off the ring apron through a table by Luchasaurus.

Upon impact, Fenix's left arm grossly hyperextended in the opposite direction, and he was noticeably in pain at the conclusion of the spot. In the post-match, brother Penta El Zero Miedo tended to him at ringside, while the cameras focused on Jurassic Express and other individuals.

Though the injury looked dire, and while early reports indicated that Fenix had broken his arm, updates claim that Fenix suffered only a dislocation.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted, "Fenix was at the hospital until the wee hours last night, it was said originally everyone feared a break and surgery, but there was "no fracture"

An update provided by the Instagram of Republic of Lucha (a wrestling merchandise store owned by Fenix and Penta) reads, "Thank you for the many messages. @reyfenixmx is recovering. There is no fracture, this was fortunately only a dislocation and is now in place. This will only require a few weeks rest to fully recover. ANIMO."

Fenix and Penta dropped the AEW Tag Team titles last night to Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy. The Lucha Bros appear to be headed into an angle with Malakai Black, based on last night's angles.
