Nick Aldis Signs New NWA Deal

The former two-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion is staying put

The NWA have announced that former two-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has signed a new deal with the promotion.

Aldis himself revealed the news on Busted Open Radio, saying:

"I have just extended my agreement with the NWA, I have just re-signed, so, it's a good day in terms of looking ahead to a great new year for the NWA and for me.”

The news will be a boon to NWA, who just announced their return to YouTube, whilst still having an agreement in place with FITE TV.

Aldis has been the cornerstone of the promotion since its modern day revamp under Billy Corgan’s watchful eye, with Aldis reigning with the 10lbs of Gold for over 1,300 days between December 2017 and August 2021, where he lost the belt to Trevor Murdoch.

As NWA Champion, Aldis was also one of the headline acts for All In back in September 2018, where he put the title on the line against Cody, dropping it to ‘The American Nightmare’ before regaining it a month later at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show.

No details have emerged as to the nature of Aldis’ new deal.
