Report: Rey Mysterio's WWE Contract Has Expired

The Master Of The 619 will still appear on WWE TV, however...

Back in September 2018, Rey Mysterio re-signed with WWE on a two-year deal. The Master Of The 619 rejoined the company after an impressive showing in the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble match and has featured in high profile feuds against the likes of AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar and Andrade.

Dave Meltzer reported on F4W Online that Mysterio's deal with the wrestling behemoth has now expired but he will continue working in WWE without a contract.

The former World Heavyweight Champion and his son Dominick are currently feuding with Seth Rollins and Meltzer noted WWE originally planned to make Mysterio vs. Rollins at Extreme Rules an eye for an eye match, in which the only way to win would be by severely damaging your opponent's eye. The match hasn't been announced as of writing, however.

Whether Mysterio signs a new deal with WWE remains to be seen, but a key factor is reportedly Dominick as The Ultimate Underdog doesn't want to do anything that would adversely affect his son's future.
