Report: Roman Reigns Vs. Daniel Bryan Scheduled For WWE Royal Rumble 2021

We will get the match down the line...

Dave Meltzer reported last week that Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan "at some point." WWE was considering adding the match to the TLC card, but the company was leaning towards a later date.

The match appeared to be put on the back burner following last week's episode of SmackDown as Daniel Bryan didn't continue his issues with Jey Uso and faced Sami Zayn instead. Kevin Owens was then established as The Big Dog's next title challenger later in the show and on Talking Smack.

Meltzer provided an update on the Daniel Bryan-Roman Reigns feud on Wrestling Observer Radio. He noted, as of right now, the match is scheduled to take place at the Royal Rumble. The American Dragon will also have some input into the rivalry as he remains involved on the SmackDown creative team.

Meltzer said: "For right now, he's scheduled to face Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble... The one thing is when it comes to Daniel Bryan, a lot of what happens with him is his own doing because he's on creative and everything and he's, I'm sure, very much thinking how he wants it done."
