Report: Ruby Soho Not Planned As Deonna Purrazzo's Mystery Opponent At IMPACT Slammiversary
The Virtuosa is putting the Knockouts title on the line at Slammiversary
As seen on the latest edition of IMPACT Wrestling, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is set to defend the title against a mystery opponent at the upcoming Slammiversary PPV on July 17.
Several names have been floated as to who the mystery opponent could be, but according to a report from Fightful Select, you can strike Ruby Soho (fka Ruby Riott) from that list.
Fightful are claiming that there haven’t been any public rumblings of any wrestling bookings for Soho, nor have they heard the details of her WWE no-compete clause. Fightful also report that the plan for The Viruosa’s mystery opponent is someone who is currently not on the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
Another name suggested by fans was Chelsea Green, but as seen at Ring of Honor Best in the World, Green is set to appear in ROH’s Women’s Title Tournament, and is currently rehabbing an arm injury and likely won’t wrestle for at least a month. Stranger things have happened though, and we’ll get an answer on July 17.
