Report: Rumour Killer On New WWE Deal For Goldberg

Latest on Goldberg

A rumour killer on Goldberg's WWE status has emerged.

Rumours last week suggested that Goldberg had signed a new deal with WWE that would see him remain with the company for another two years. Goldberg reportedly would have five matches as part of his two-year deal, including three against wrestlers he hasn't faced before.

Fightful Select have reported, though, that those close to Goldberg noted any new contract "would be news to his reps that negotiate those kinds of deals."

As it stands, Goldberg's WWE contract is set to expire in December 2022. No new deal has been agreed as of yet and if the two sides are in active talks about continuing Da' Man's in-ring career is unknown.

While he is still under contract, Goldberg has no more matches on his current WWE deal. He hasn't stepped inside the squared circle since a loss to Roman Reigns at February's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February.

Over his multiple stints with WWE, Goldberg is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and two-time Universal Champion. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.
