Report: Scorpio Sky Injury Was A 'Freak Accident’

‘Freak accident’ believed to have caused Scorpio Sky’s injury

After a year on the sidelines, Scorpio Sky made his return to in-ring action on the July 8 edition of AEW Collision, but was pulled from the July 28 edition of Rampage due to injury.

Sky was originally set to face Kip Sabian on Rampage (taped July 26) but was instead replaced by Komander after it was revealed by Tony Khan that the former TNT Champion had suffered an injury pre-show.

During a recent Q&A session, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp was asked for an update on Sky, saying the following:

“A freak accident is what I’ve been told. Just an absolute freak accident. Nobody knows how long he’ll be out. He was on crutches at the show, though.”

The former SCU lynchpin has been part of All Elite Wrestling since the very beginning, joining the company at its inception in 2019. In AEW, Sky is a former two-time TNT Champion, and was one half of the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside SCU partner Frankie Kazarian.
