Report: Scrapped WWE Raw Plans For Ciampa Revealed

Following his Raw return on last week's episode from Knoxville, Tennessee, Ciampa due to be in action on Monday's edition of the red brand, but his match was ultimately scrapped.

According to Fightful Select, Ciampa was originally booked to face former Universal Champion Finn Balor on Raw but the match was ultimately scrapped.

Balor was still on Raw and he saved AJ Styles from a Judgement Day beatdown before the former Bullet Club leaders had a Too Sweet in the middle of the ring.

Ciampa, meanwhile, faced and defeated Apollo Crews during Monday's Main Event taping. The Blackheart surprisingly worked as a babyface in the match despite being a heel last week, but Fightful noted Ciampa was planned to be a heel on Raw for the scrapped match with Balor.

Ali instead lost a Two-On-One Handicap Match to The Miz and Austin Theory on last night's Raw.
