Report: Scrapped WWE SmackDown Plans For Liv Morgan Revealed

WWE had different plans for Liv Morgan

While rewrites have reportedly been less prevalent since Triple H took over creative, WWE switched up some of their plans ahead of the September 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Liv Morgan appeared on the show, interrupting a Ronda Rousey interview with Kayla Braxton. The SmackDown Women's Champion proclaimed that she was the only woman to have defeated Rousey twice before she admitted she wanted to earn Ronda's respect and challenged The Baddest Woman on the Planet to an Extreme Rules match at the October 8 pay-per-view.

Rousey ultimately accepted, telling Morgan it would be her funeral at Extreme Rules.

That wasn't the original plan for Morgan, though. According to Fightful Select, the SmackDown Women's Champion was originally slated to be involved in the Damage CTRL promo segment.

That segment featured Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY being interrupted by Raquel Rodriguez before she clashed with Bayley. The faction then beat down Rodriguez after the match before Shotzi made the save, turning babyface in the process.
