Report: Several Names Slated For August 26 WWE SmackDown
WWE will tape two episodes of SmackDown tonight ahead of flying to the UK for Clash at the Castle
WWE are filming two episodes of SmackDown tonight, ahead of the trip overseas for Clash at the Castle next weekend.
Fightful Select has reported that a couple of familiar names are scheduled for the taping, including a WWE Hall of Famer.
Per the report, former WWE Champion JBL is slated to be used in some capacity at the taping. JBL has been an intermittent presence on WWE television since retiring from in-ring competition in 2009, most notably as a commentator and panelist during pre-shows.
Fightful also noted that Xavier Woods is set to make his in-ring return at the taping, having missed the whole of August. As of now, the King of the Ring winner is slated to appear on tonight's episode of the show.
Also announced for tonight's show is a four-team 'second chance' match between Dana Brooke & Tamina, Natalya & Sonya Deville, Nikki A.S.H. & Doudrop and Shotzi & Xia Li, with the winning team replacing Toxic Attraction in the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship tournament.
The only other announced match is Ricochet taking on Happy Corbin.
